Affiliate Link Cloaker

Part of the Webmaster Six Pack

Webmaster Six Pack

This script allows you to cloak your affiliate links. This can be very useful if you feel that unscrupulous visitors are stealing the affiliate commissions which you've worked hard to earn. Whilst it is almost impossible to prevent a skilled webmaster from replacing your affiliate code with their's, by using this tool you will make the process more laborious, and impossible for the less technically-minded. Remember you can rebrand and resell this link cloaking software.
1. Enter Page Title :
The Page Title appears in the blue bar at the top of the page. It should contain the most important keywords which describe the page you are opening. For example "Make Money Online with Ezine Articles" might be a good title, if you were promoting such an idea, while "This is a Great Site!" would not, under almost any circumstances... A good relevant title can improve the chances of your framed affiliate link appearing in the Search Engines.
2. Enter Page Description :
The Page Description is not normally seen, but is still read by users whose browsers do not support framesets, and more importantly is read by Search Engine spiders. A good original (ie. don't just copy a paragraph from the product's sales letter - Search Engines spot this duplication and ignore your page - ) description of a few hundred words will greatly improve the chances of your framed affiliate link appearing in the Search Engines.
3. Enter Affiliate Link URL
The URL should be the full URL of your affiliate link. This is the page which the user will see. It's URL will be encoded, so your affiliate link will not be visible to the human eye. Include http://.
4. Create Frame Code ->
Frame Code :
5. Copy Code to Clipboard ->
Copy the code to your clipboard and paste (ctrl + v) it into a new Notepad document. Save the document as an HTML file and upload it to your website with your regular FTP software. You can either just call it "keyword-keyword.html" or create a directory especially for it (www.your-site.com/keyword) and save it as "index.html". Link to this page whenever you want to send people to your affiliate links. It will then be far more difficult for an unscrupulous user to "hijack" those links and steal your commission.
