If you've been lapping up Rich Schrefen's brilliant material lately, you'll know he's a great proponent of maximising how you use the time you have available. Its uncommon sense ;)

One of the excellent tools he recommends is the Temptation Blocker which allows you to set up a list of software which you won't allow yourself to use for a set period of time.

It lets the bright you control the silly you (which might be a pleasant change ;) ) Its a bit like hiding your cigarettes above the kitchen cupboards and moving all the chairs, only on a PC instead. This 4-minute-or-so video shows you how to use this in conjunction with your computer's hosts file to prevent yourself from accessing certain websites that you know you waste time on. Its a great little productivity trick. I only thought of it this afternoon and already its saved me the best part of an hour of timewasting. I hope you find it as handy as I did..
